Happy Monday! This week it's Surreal's chance to grill the bitches - that's a cute term for interview but if you look at these questions I think "grill" fits it better, myself. ;) You'll have to excuse some of my short answers, I'm answering this on about 3 hours of sleep and while I am rarely in my right mind, it's guaranteed today.
- If you could redo your regrets and bad decisions, would you? Even if that 'do over' affected the life you have now, in good and negative ways?
I wouldn't change anything that might affect my children or my marriage. Most of the things I would like to change weren't decisions on my part and were pretty much out of my control.
- If you could teach your children only one lesson, guaranteed they would retain it, what would it be? Why?
Ugh, you are making me think way too hard on about 2 hours of sleep. Probably - don't make the mistakes your dad and I made. - specifically, put your education first and focus on something that will make you happy and provide you with the lifestyle you want to have with as little stress as possible.
- Do you believe that nature or nurture plays a role in how people turn out?
I believe it's a combination of both. In fact, I know it is.
- What do you want to be remembered for after you are gone?
I want to be remembered for how much I loved my family and my children.
- If there is a technological apocalypse, like in S.M. Stirling's The Change, would you survive? How?
Hmmm, I haven't read that book so I had to consult Google. I don't know if I would survive, but I'd damn sure try or uh, die trying, I suppose. I know this is the sort of thing that you and Celeste think about and plan out - it kind of freaks me out, I like to think about happier things like what I would do if I won the lottery. I think I would probably get as far away from the other "survivors" as possible - maybe establish a large farm/ranch and do what I had to to keep myself and my family healthy and safe.

I like to prepare for the apocalypse, be it zombie or technology failing. I want to be prepared for all things, just in case they do come around.
And learning to grow a garden can't hurt the grocery budget at all.
