Meredith Vieira, sadly, I'm Not

Category : ,

Over the next 4 weeks the bitches are going to go all "Barbara Walters" on you. We're going to be interviewing each other. This week is my turn to interview and Celeste, Winnie, and Surreal will be answering a list of interview questions. Next week Surreal will be interviewing, followed by Celeste and then Winnie. All of us will still be doing the regular Friday Bitch session.

At any rate... these are the questions that I asked the rest of the bitches. Well, most of them, I'm leaving off the last question as a surprise for the readers because I think it's the most interesting, honestly. If you are reading this (and I've seen the stats, I know YOU are!) Feel free to answer any of these questions in the comments, I know the other bitches and I would LOVE to read your answers!!!

What did you want to be when you were growing up? Did your parents encourage you?

I wanted to be a lawyer. Throughout my childhood I really don't recall either of my parents ever asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Later when I was in high school my dad suggested that he send me to a local law school here in town (it closed a few years ago) as if it were his idea. It irritated me at the time how my dad didn't seem to know that it had always been my dream to be an attorney.

What is your biggest regret?
Not pursuing anything more than an AA degree. I wish I were in a position to make more money than I do.

What advice  would you give or what would you say to the 16 year old you?
Dump him NOW. You don't need him. You can do SO MUCH BETTER.

Okay, give me a brief ...idea of your childhood and upbringing.
The Cleavers. Strange but true. My sister and I were dragged to church every Sunday. My mother was in the Parent Teacher Association and was usually Head Room Mother. My dad had a fairly successful pool construction business, my mom stayed at home and managed the books for the pool company. My grandparents lived right around the corner and we vacationed with them every summer. Everything was pretty traditional and straight-laced until my grandmother died and my parents divorced a few years later.

What is your favorite show to watch on television?
This is really tough because it changes depending on the season since all the different networks have shows starting all year round. Currently, I'm waiting for Memphis Beat and The Glades to start back up. I'm also a huge fan of Bones, Blue Bloods and Sons of Anarchy. My go-to can watch re-run after re-run show is probably Two and A Half Men although if you had asked me a year ago it would have That 70's Show. And, I'm not even getting into shows on Food Network or Discovery Channel - I'm a HUGE Guy Fieri and Paula Deen fan.

Favorite band or musician?
My old stand-bys are Harry Connick Jr. and Amy Grant. But, right now I'm listening to Jack Johnson a lot, I love him.

All time favorite dessert?
Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge (HOT FUDGE NOT CHOCOLATE SYRUP) poured over the top with whipped cream and a cherry.

Your ideal favorite meal?
 Sushi and Teppanyaki

What is your favorite movie?
When Harry Met Sally, I can watch it over and over again. Ditto White Christmas.
