A dose of my own medicine

I'm not about to ask all these questions without answering them myself, so here I go!

What song do you want played at your funeral?

Here comes my morbid side - I actually have a folder in my music play list entitled "after life" with music that I would like to have played at my memorial service in many (many!) years from now. There is about 20 or so songs in the folder. Including Harvest Moon by Neil Young, Go Rest High on that Mountain by Vince Gill, The Dance, by Garth Brooks, and When You Say Nothing At All by Allison Krause. But before you start thinking that I only have folk or country music, I also have Motorhead, Serj Tankian, Cage the Elephant, and Drop Kick Murphys. They are songs that have meant something to me at different points in my life, and even though I may be pushing up daises, I would still want my loved ones to share the memories of those times in my life with me.

I'm giving you a credit card with no limit. You can purchase anything you want, no matter what the cost. What do you buy?

I'm with my fellow bitches on this one, and the 1st one would be a house. With property. Lots of property. Like more than 20 acres. I would love to have a huge property with a main house for my family, and a smaller house or two for the extra family to come and live with us. Throw in a barn and a pond and I would be in heaven.

If you could record a conversation any person, living or dead, who would it be? Why?

My Grandpa, who passed 2 years ago, and all of my great grandparents who died many years ago. I would also love to have a chance to have met my husband's grandparents and find out their history. I've tried, but my mother-in-law is more than a little hazy on the details.

Show me your favorite piece of artwork. Who is it by? Why do you like it?

I really love Trish Biddle's art. I have 4 prints of her's and would love own an original. I just love the lines of the woman's back, and the warm rich colors.

What makes you cry?

Piss me off, and I will cry. Sad movies make me sob. Sad books = water works. I guess I am quite a good crier.

Do you like to shop?

Yes! On line, in the stores, at garage sales, farmer's market, window shopping, any of it!

Do you believe in an afterlife?

I am not a traditional "believer". I am not religious at all, but I am spiritual. It is fully possible to be one without being the other. I still wrestle with the idea of heaven and hell. We are all energy, and energy does not simply dissipate, it has to be transfered somewhere. Funny I asked this question when I don't have an answer myself

Tell me about a time in your life when you were happy.

Shortly after my 3rd child was born, I woke up one night to Kid 1 and Kid 2 in bed with my husband and I, and the baby was in the bassinet right beside me. Everyone but me was asleep. I realized that just by stretching my arms out I could reach out and touch the most important people in my life. My entire family was within arms reach.
